Privacy policy
The short version: anonymous usage analytics, nothing personally identifiable, nothing sold.
01 /Scope
This policy covers ryanwaked.com, the personal site of Ryan Waked. It explains what is measured when you visit and what stays on your device.
02 /Usage analytics
The site uses PostHog to collect anonymous usage data: pages viewed, referring sites, approximate region, device and browser type, and interactions with site features. This exists to show which analyses get read and where the site can improve.
It also uses Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights, which gather aggregate, cookieless measurements (page views and anonymized performance metrics such as load time and Core Web Vitals) to monitor how the site performs. Neither identifies you.
03 /What is not collected
No names, no email addresses, no account data. There are no sign-ups and no forms. Nothing collected here identifies you personally, and nothing is sold or shared with advertisers.
04 /Cookies and local storage
PostHog may set a cookie or use browser storage to tell visits apart. The site itself caches feed responses in sessionStorage; that stays in your browser and is never transmitted. Your theme follows your device's light/dark setting and is not stored.
05 /Third-party content
The feeds page and the reading room embed public posts and images from Bluesky, GitHub, and the linked blogs. Those images load from their original hosts, which receive the standard requests your browser makes.
06 /Changes
This policy may change as the site evolves; the current version is always this page.
